Biscuits drop Jumbo Shrimp despite Dunand homer

Montgomery earns series win with 9-4 victory

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Joe Dunand homered on Monday, but the Montgomery Biscuits eased by the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 9-4 from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.With one out in a scoreless third inning, Miles Mastrobuoni reached on an error and stole second. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Joe Dunand homered on Monday, but the Montgomery Biscuits eased by the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 9-4 from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
With one out in a scoreless third inning, Miles Mastrobuoni reached on an error and stole second. Brett Sullivan laced an RBI double off Jacksonville (24-40) starter Robert Dugger (6-6) for the game's first run. Jesús Sánchez walked before Sullivan was caught stealing third for the frame's second out. Tristan Gray then blasted a two-run home run to make it 3-0 Montgomery (39-24).

Another error placed Lucius Fox on to start the fourth. After a fly out, David Rodríguez crushed an RBI triple. Rodriguez scored on Jermaine Palacios' RBI ground out to extend the advantage to 5-0. 
Justin Twine and Brian Miller jumpstarted the bottom of the fourth with consecutive singles against Biscuits starter Paul Campbell (1-0) to put runners on the corners. Dunand's sacrifice fly put the Jumbo Shrimp on the board at 5-1.
Rodriguez collected another RBI triple in the sixth before Palacios followed with a run-scoring base hit to get the tally to 7-1.
In the bottom of the frame, Miller doubled with one out. Dunand then socked a two-run home run to draw Jacksonville within 7-3.
B.J. López reached on an error to start the seventh. After a pair of outs, Twine tripled Lopez in to cut the deficit to three.
Another Jumbo Shrimp error in the eighth scored two Biscuits and made the score 9-4.
Dugger surrendered five unearned runs on five hits in five innings. He struck out five and walked two.
