First Wave of Theme Nights Announced

JERSEY SHORE, NJ – With single-game tickets now on sale, the BlueClaws announced a first wave of 2021 Theme Nights, the first of a series of highly anticipated dates that will fill summer calendars across the Shore.

The 2021 season is set to begin on Tuesday, May 4th as the BlueClaws host Opening Night at the Jersey Shore, presented by Jenkinson’s Boardwalk.

“The baseball season is fast approaching and we are so excited to welcome fans back to the ballpark,” said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. “We’ll have a lot more to add to this schedule but we’re glad to be able to announce this first wave of theme nights!”

• Wednesday, May 5th: Medusas de Jersey Shore Kickoff Night (presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)
• Sunday, May 9th: Mother’s Day at the Ballpark
• Friday, May 21st: Irish Heritage Night (includes cap giveaway for first 1,500 fans, presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)
• Friday, June 4th: Pride Night (includes cap giveaway for first 1,500 fans, presented by Coca-Cola)
• Tuesday, June 8th: Medusas de Jersey Shore (presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)
• Friday, June 11th: Girl Scout Family Night (presented by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore)
• Sunday, June 13th: Father’s Day Celebration (the BlueClaws will be on the road for Father’s Day so we will celebrate one week early)
• Friday, July 2nd: Red, White and BlueClaws Weekend with anticipated Patriotic Fireworks Show
• Saturday, July 3rd: Red, White and BlueClaws Weekend with anticipated Patriotic Fireworks Show
• Sunday, July 4th: Red, White and BlueClaws Weekend with anticipated Patriotic Fireworks Show (biggest fireworks show of the season)
• Tuesday, July 6th: Special 11:05 am start time for Silver Sluggers, a Businessperson’s Special, and Camp Day
• Thursday, July 8th: Military Appreciation Night (presented by OceanFirst Bank)
• Tuesday, July 27th: Medusas de Jersey Shore (presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)
• Friday, August 6th: Autism Awareness Night (presented by Sunny Days Sunshine Center)
• Sunday, August 22nd: Medusas de Jersey Shore (presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)
• Wednesday, September 8th: Medusas de Jersey Shore (presented by New Jersey Natural Gas)

On Medusas de Jersey Shore nights, the BlueClaws will play as the Medusas, their alternate identity as part of Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversion program. The team will celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage at these games and wear special jerseys and caps.

The BlueClaws previously announced a set of 17 fireworks nights, starting with Opening Night on May 4th. The fireworks schedule includes every Friday plus select additional dates throughout the season.

24 of the 60 home games will feature Yankees and Mets affiliates. Hudson Valley (Yankees) will be at the Shore from May 4th through 9th and June 29th through July 4th. Brooklyn (Mets) will visit twice as well, from June 1st through 6th and July 27th through August 1st.

Single-game tickets will go on sale to existing plan holders and group leaders, plus members of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Priority List through an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale beginning Tuesday, March 30th at 6:00 am. On Thursday, April 1st at 6:00 am, single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public.

Due to anticipated capacity restrictions, the BlueClaws strongly recommend fans reserve their tickets as early as possible.

May 4th, Opening Night at the Jersey Shore, presented by Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, also marks the debut of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. The team re-branded, complete with a new set of logos, hats and uniforms, in an October ceremony at the iconic Jersey Shore venue Convention Hall in Asbury Park.

The re-brand followed a series of ballpark enhancements over the last several seasons including the addition of a Mini Golf Course, Boardwalk Game area, and Biergarten. All of these features will be open at all 60 BlueClaws home games this year.

BlueClaws Membership Plans combine the best of the BlueClaws and the ballpark into 5 & 10-Game experiences this summer. Each includes dinner, dessert, boardwalk game tickets, and a season ticket holder gift(s). Membership Plan holders also receive seating priority if purchased before single-game tickets go on sale next week.
