Brooklyn added an unearned run off Jason Ruffcorn in the seventh on an error on Uziel Viloria to cut the lead to 5-2. Jonathan Hughes came on for the ninth and gave up an RBI double with Matt Rudick with two outs to cut the lead to 5-3. Hughes, however, got the last out and earned his third save of the season.
