BROOKLYN, NY - JT Ginn threw seven scoreless innings, not allowing a hit until the seventh, to lead Brooklyn to a 5-2 win over the BlueClaws on Tuesday night at Maimonides Park.

Brooklyn (46-67) took the first of a six-game series with the BlueClaws (53-60), who saw their four-game win streak snapped.

Ginn (3-3) held the BlueClaws without a hit through six innings. McCarthy Tatum's infield hit was the BlueClaws' first of the night. Nicolas Torres added another in the inning but Ginn finished off seven for the first time in his career and did not allow a run.

Brooklyn finally broke through in the bottom of the fourth. Nate Fassnacht threw a runner out at the plate earlier in the inning, but after a walk to load the bases, Tanner Murphy hit a three-run double to put Brooklyn up 5-0.

Starter Noah Skirrow (0-2) came out after four, allowing three runs.

Jonas De La Cruz came on in the fifth and surrendered a two-run double to Zach Ashford to bring home Wilmer Reyes and Francisco Alvarez and put Brooklyn ahead 5-0.

The BlueClaws got two runs back in the eighth on a groundout by Hunter Markwardt and SAC fly from Johan Rojas.

Hunter Parsons got the last three outs for his first pro save.

The teams play five more times this week in Brooklyn, the final five games of the season.
