Dust storm postpones Monday's game

Game to be made up as part of doubleheader on May 8th
April 8, 2013

LANCASTER, Calif. - The Lancaster JetHawks have announced that Monday night's game at The Hangar against the Lake Elsinore Storm has been postponed due to a dust storm.

Playing conditions have been deemed unsafe due to high winds, poor air quality and low visibility.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, May 8. The first game will begin at 5:00 pm and both games will be seven innings.

Fans with tickets for Monday night's game can exchange their tickets for access to any 2013 JetHawks game excluding the game on July 3.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas. The warning, which remains in effect until 6:00 am Tuesday, is calling average winds of 30 to 45 miles per hour with gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

The warning also calls for dangerous driving conditions with visibility reduced to near zero due to blowing dust.

The conditions have already forced road closures near The Hangar.

Tuesday's game against Lake Elsinore is set to be played as scheduled. First pitch is at 7:00 pm.
