JACKSON, Tenn.  - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (1-3) fell to the Jackson Generals (3-1) by a 1-0 score in the fourth game of the five-game series at The Ballpark at Jackson on Sunday afternoon.


JACKSON, Tenn.  - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (1-3) fell to the Jackson Generals (3-1) by a 1-0 score in the fourth game of the five-game series at The Ballpark at Jackson on Sunday afternoon.

The game was scoreless until the final play of the game, as Matt Jones delivered a game-winning walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to score Rudy Flores from first base to win the game for Jackson, and clinch a series victory.
Jacksonville left-handed relief pitcher José Quijada (0-1) allowed the winning run in the ninth to take the loss, while Generals right-handed relief pitcher Kirby Bellow (1-0) earned the victory, working the final inning and two thirds of the game to preserve the shutout.
Miami Marlins No. 16 prospect and a member of the Marlins 40-man roster, right-handed starting pitcher Merandy Gonzalez worked five scoreless innings in his Double-A debut, scattering two hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Generals right-handed starting pitcher Justin Donatella also worked five scoreless innings in his Double-A debut, allowing only two hits.
Jacksonville's offense was limited to two hits in the game, a single by Austin Dean in the second inning, and a double by Kyle Barrett in the third inning.
Quijada set down the first two batters in the bottom of the ninth before Flores singled down the left field line, then Jones' double off the wall delivered the walk-off victory.
The Jumbo Shrimp and Generals will close their series with the fifth game of the five-game set on Monday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. eastern. Right-handed pitcher Max Duval (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will start for Jacksonville against a starter to be announced for Jackson.
