Jacksonville Looks to Snap Streak At AT&T Field

Suns, Lookouts Face Off In Game Two At 7:15 p.m. ET
April 15, 2014

The Jacksonville Suns will seek to even the series tonight in Chattanooga after the Lookouts held on to take the early advantage with a 6-4 victory on Monday. The first pitch of tonight's matchup is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET.

Last night's series opener at AT&T Field was eerily similar to the previous three ballgames the Suns (3-8) have played on the season's first road trip. Jacksonville led early and battled back late, yet came up short in the final analysis. This time, the Suns left the tying run stranded in scoring position to end the contest.

Jacksonville will look to left-hander Andrew Heaney (1-0, 2.38) in an attempt to even the series. The Suns also hope outfielder Brady Shoemaker continues to swing a hot bat in the second of five contests with the Lookouts. Shoemaker, it was announced today, enters the game as the reigning Southern League Player of the Week.

Tyson Brummett will be making his second start of the season for Chattanooga. The righty pitched four scoreless innings of one-hit ball on April 10 at Tennessee. He struck out two and walked four in the contest.

You can listen to tonight's game live on the Suns Baseball Network, with the "Voice of the Suns" Roger Hoover providing play by play. Hoover is now in his third season as Jacksonville's Director of Broadcasting. He is assisted by Michael West and Jason Patterson. West and Patterson will host the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET on the Suns Baseball Network.
