Jupiter, FL. - The Jupiter Hammerheads (65-57) fall for a third time to the Bradenton Marauders (54-65) as the Marauders go home with a series sweep.
Returning to the Hammerheads and getting the start was left handed pitcher, Daniel Castano (5-6, 5.26 ERA). He faced twenty-six batters and threw sixty-eight of his ninety-nine pitches for strikes during his six innings on the mound. Castano allowed seven hits and one run. Reily Hovis (2-1, 3.24 ERA) would come in for the seventh inning. Hovis allowed one hit and a walk while facing four batters and throwing sixteen pitches. Travis Neubeck (0-1, .96 ERA) would start the eighth inning and have the best inning for relief for the Hammerheads, striking out two of the four batters he faced and allowing no hits. The Hammerheads would call in Chad Smith (5-3, 2.45 ERA) for the ninth and a portion of the tenth innings. Smith would come in and put away three batters in a row before coming back in the tenth to give up the winning runs to the Marauders. Nine of his twelve pitches were strikes. Vincenzo Aiello would come in as the final pitcher for the Hammerheads. He faced two batters, allowed no hits and threw nine pitches with six of those being strikes.
Hitting for the Hammerheads was led by Short Stop, Bryson Brigman, Brigman was three for five, scoring a run and an RBI. For the second consecutive day Right Fielder, Stone Garrett, was also a productive hitter for the Hammerheads. He went three for five with two singles and a double. Cameron Baranek would score the tying run in the eighth on a Tristan Pompey hit to left-center. The game would remain tied until the top of the tenth when the Marauders scored four more runs. Those four runs would be enough for the Marauders to hold on to win the game. The Hammerheads fought back in the bottom of the tenth scoring three runs. Cameron Baranek would start the inning at second base and Bryson Brigman came up to bat and hit a single through the hole at shortstop. This would score Baranek. Stone Garett would come up to hit a double to left field scoring Brigman. James Nelson would be the final batter and bring Garrett around to score the last run of the game. Nelson would also get the final out trying to stretch his hit and reach second base.
