Jupiter, FL. - The Jupiter Hammerheads swim away with the win against the Clearwater Threshers Thursday night in and extra inning nail biter. The Threshers score first, but 'Heads would fight back in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. The win improves their record to 69-63 on

Jupiter, FL. - The Jupiter Hammerheads swim away with the win against the Clearwater Threshers Thursday night in and extra inning nail biter. The Threshers score first, but 'Heads would fight back in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. The win improves their record to 69-63 on the season.
Starting on the mound tonight for the Hammerheads was right handed pitcher, Ryan Lillie (0-4, 4.93 ERA). Lillie threw eighty-nine pitches, striking out four batters, walking one batter and allowing one run in his six innings of work. The Threshers would get their first run in the top of the fourth inning. Parker Bugg (2-1, 3.17 ERA) would come in for two innings for work. He would face seven batters, strike out one and allow the tying run in the top of the seventh. Jorgan Cavanerio (6-2, 2.54 ERA) would come in to close the game for the Hammerheads and get the win. Jorgan would face nine batters and throw twenty of his twenty-seven pitches for strikes along with striking out three Threshers.
Jupiter would make their first trip around the bases in the bottom of the fifth inning. Leading the way was Gunnar Schubert with a walk. Will Allen would double and move Schubert to third base. Cameron Baranek comes up to hit a sacrifice fly ball to centerfield allowing Schubert to score. The Hammerheads would take the lead in the sixth on a passed ball allowing Corey Bird to score, giving them the lead. The Threshers would score their additional runs in the top of the seventh, leaving the scored tied at 2-2 before heading into extra innings. Clearwater would score again in the top of the tenth, leading 3-2. The Hammerheads' bats came back to bite at the end of the tenth inning when Cameron Baranek would score the tying run on a Micah Brown sacrifice hit to centerfield. Harrison Dinicola would be on base from an earlier hit through the hole at second base and be brought around to score by a walk-off double by Riley Mahan.
