Hammerheads take fire out of Fire Frogs

Jupiter scored five runs on 11 hits on Tuesday in a 5-3 victory over Florida.
Joe Dunand, Riley Mahan, and Brian Miller each recorded multiple hits tonight. Miller had two extra base hits, a triple in the first and a double in the seventh.
On the defensive side, Jupiter allowed only three runs all night and just a solo run not coming by way of a home run.
Ethan Clark started on the mound for the Hammerheads and pitched five innings while allowing only one hit with seven strikeouts.
Jorgan Cavanerio entered the game in relief in the top of the sixth inning. He allowed a two-run home run to Florida in the sixth which tied the game. However, the Hammerheads retook the lead in the next half inning and Cavanerio threw a scoreless seventh inning, earning him the victory.
Justin Twine was the one to break the sixth inning tie as he reached via a throwing error that allowed Miller and Dunand to score.
Jupiter picked up another late run in the eighth on Mahan's single.
Dylan Lee pitched a scoreless eighth inning before Chad Smith pitched the ninth, giving up one run and recording his fifth save of the season in the process.
