Hammerheads well represented in Arizona Fall League

Following each season since 1992, many of the top prospects in all of baseball are sent to the Arizona Fall League by their parent clubs. Due to the constraints on roster size, each team sends only its top prospects for a chance to gain even more experience. The Miami Marlins sent six prospects to the West Coast this year, five who had spent a considerable amount of the 2018 regular season with the Jupiter Hammerheads.  
Acquired in a trade from the Mariners in July, infielder Bryson Brigman took no time getting adjusted into the Marlins organization hitting .338 in Jupiter before a call-up to Double-A Jacksonville before the season ended. Following the season, Brigman continued to hone his craft in the Arizona Fall League. He hit .280 in 13 games.
Brian Miller, another hitter who saw himself get promoted from Jupiter to Jacksonville before the season ended, had a modest Arizona Fall League performance. The lefty hit .265 in 17 games with a .351 on-base-percentage. His eight stolen bases ranked second in the entire league.
Pitcher Jordan Yamamoto spent most of his 2018 campaign with the Hammerheads, earning a call-up to Double-A Jacksonville after posting a 4-1, 1.55 ERA stat line in seven games pitched. While in the Arizona Fall League, the Hawaii native was tied with a league high three wins and ranked third with 20 strikeouts. He started a total of four games and finished with a 1.69 ERA in 16 innings pitched.
Reliever Chad Smith made seven appearances and finished 0-0 with a 7.11 ERA. His seven appearances were tied for 11^th in the Fall League.
A fellow Jupiter Hammerheads and Miami Marlins prospect, Kyle Keller, finished tied for first with eight appearances. The 25-year-old threw 8 2/3 innings and allowed three runs while striking out nine. He had a stellar year in the organization, making it all the way up to Triple-A New Orleans before the season concluded.
