With offensive power and solid pitching, the Hammerheads pulled off a compelling 9-1 win over the Daytona Tortugas on Wednesday night.
After some recent struggles on the mound, Jordan Holloway found his rhythm again with a dominating start for Jupiter. The Marlins #19 Prospect blanked Daytona for six innings. He made good use of a nasty breaking ball and lured the Tortugas into twelve ground outs and five strikeouts in his start.

Holloway was backed up by the Hammerheads defense, who fielded the whole night without errors. Demetrius Sims impressed at shortstop, making several tough plays to record a season-high nine assists.

Once again, the Hammerheads bats found plenty of contact throughout the night, this time with a bit more power. They totaled fifteen hits, six of which were extra base knocks.
To kick off the game, 2018 1st round pick Connor Scott led off and hit his first homerun for Jupiter in the first at bat of the game, a solo to left center.
In the bottom of the 2nd, more extra base hits batted in two more runs. James Nelson hit an RBI triple to score Sims and Micah Brown followed up with an RBI triple to push Nelson across home.
Brown delivered again in the 4th with a solo homerun to give the Hammerheads a 4-0 lead. Overall, the second baseman had a stellar night, going 3-5 with a double, homerun, two runs and two RBIs.

After Holloway left the mound, Daytona put one run on the board in the 7th off reliever Tyler Jones. Jones allowed four hits, but a clutch strikeout got Jupiter out of a threatening bases-loaded situation to finishing off the inning.
The Hammerheads ran away with the game with a 5-run bottom of the 7th. Lazaro Alonso, who had his second consecutive 3-hit night, shot off a double to start the inning, which a sac fly from shortstop Sims batted in. Nelson hit an RBI double and Jhonny Santos followed with an RBI single. MLB Pipeline #32 overall prospect JJ Bleday hit a 2-run RBI single to finish off the inning, making it 9-1 Jupiter.

To finish the game, Jeff Lindgren continued his scoreless performance for the Hammerheads, with two more zero-run innings to maintain his 0.00 ERA. The 2019 draftee has pitched thirteen scorelss relief innings over eight games.

Tonight's 9-1 win gave the Hammerheads the series early, but they'll finish it out with game three at 6:30pm tomorrow night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. For tickets, visit jupiterhammerheads.com/tickets.
