In the final game of a three game series the Hammerheads fall 2-1 to the Miracle.
After scoring 12 runs in the first game of the series Jupiter only scored one run in each of the final two games, losing both.
Cody Poteet started on the mound Wednesday night coming off a spectacular performance in his last start, the righty pitched seven innings allowing six hits while recording seven strike outs. Poteet gave up just two runs, both of which came in the fourth inning.
Esmerling De La Rosa finished the game off for Jupiter after entering in the eighth inning, through two innings he allowed no hits and struck out two batters.
Unlike the 15 hit game on Monday, the Hammerheads struggled to get the offence going Wednesday night only tallying three runs.
Jupiter's first hit of the game didn't come until the sixth inning off the bat of Aaron Knapp.
The final two hits both came in the seventh inning and led to the only run of the night. Anfernee Seymour singled and then reached second base as he recorded his 20th steal of the season. A James Nelson single sent Seymour home.
The Hammerheads host the Blue Jays Thursday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium with a starting time of 6:30 P.M. tickets and more information can be found at Rogerdeanchevroletstadium.com/tickets-events.
