Scary finish late in Jupiter's Friday the 13th win

After taking an early lead, the Hammerheads were able to edge out the Stonecrabs in Friday's 3-2 victory.
The first hit of the game came in the bottom of the second inning off the bat of James Nelson when the third baseman hit a solo home run on a 2-0 pitch, it was his first homer of the season.
Three Hammerheads had multi-hit games with Nelson and Bubba Hollins both recording two hits and Aaron Knapp recording three.
Nelson recorded his second and final RBI of the night in the bottom of the fifth inning on an infield single that sent home Milton Smith Jr. Due to an error on the play Aaron Knapp was able to score as well, reaching home from second base.
Brady Puckett started the game for Jupiter and pitched seven innings allowing only three hits in his first game back from injury. Parker Bugg entered the game for the Hammerheads in the eighth and allowed one run on two hits, decreasing Jupiter's lead to just one.
Chad Smith stepped on the rubber for the final inning of the game. The first batter of the inning, Robbie Tenerowicz reached after being hit by a pitch which put the tying run on first. Smith recorded the first out of the inning on a short pop up and put the Hammerheads to ease after the third batter of the inning hit into an unassisted double play to Bubba Hollins.  
Friday was a great start to the new series and an ever better was to ease those Friday the 13^th horrors. The Hammerheads and the Stonecrabs face off again Saturday for a 5:30 PM start at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
