Despite taking an early 4-1 lead, the Jupiter Hammerheads let the series finale against the Mets slip away from them with an extra-inning 7-4 loss.
Jupiter started out strong with a single from lead-off hitter Víctor Víctor Mesa. Tristan Pompey quickly followed with a line drive RBI triple to left. MLB Rehabber Martín Prado batted in the three slot and hit a beautiful single to bat in Pompey for a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.
Prado's major league presence was felt at third, as he made several tough plays, totalling seven assists for Jupiter which helped keep the Mets at bay early on. At shortstop, Sims also had a good day fielding-wise with six assists. Additionally, Mesa provided two outfield assists from center.

The Hammerheads added to their total with a double from Bryson Brigman, who was then batted in with an RBI single off the bat of James Nelson, making it a 3-0 game.
St. Lucie came back with a run in the third and two runs in the fifth off a solo homer and balk to make it a 4-3 game.
Those three runs were credited to Braxton Garrett who threw a decent start, although it was definitely not one of his better outings. The lefty allowed the three earned runs and five hits, walked three and only struck out two over his six innings pitched.
Coming in as a reliever, Miami Marlin Tayron Guerrero also made a rehab appearance for the Hammerheads. The 6'8" right-hander made quick work of the Mets, pitching a hitless, scoreless seventh inning.
Taylor Braley came in to close the game, allowing an RBI double in the eighth that tied it up 4-4.
Although the Hammerheads had a promising start, the Mets ran away with it in extra innings, hitting a 3-run RBI double in the tenth to take a 7-4 lead, which held as the final score.
Jupiter plays as the visiting team tomorrow against the Palm Beach Cardinals in a 6:30pm game at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
