Adam Brett Walker named MWL Player of the Week

For the period April 22-28

Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids Kernels outfielder Adam Brett Walker has been named the Midwest League Player of the Week for the period April 22-28.

During that period, Walker hit .381 (8-21) with five home runs, 16 RBI and a 1.238 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS). He was selected by the Twins in the third round of the 2012 First Year Player draft out of Jacksonville University and spent last season with the Elizabethton Twins.

Pitcher Ryan Crowley of Burlington was named the MWL Pitcher of the Week for the same period.

The Kernels continue a six game home stand against the Lansing Lugnuts tonight at 6:35 pm at Perfect Game Field. It's Dollar Monday where select concession items are just $1. Gates open at 5:30 pm.
