Kingsport Mets Release 2018 Schedule

KINGSPORT, TN. - The Kingsport Mets released their portion of the schedule for the 2018 Appalachian season that features 68 regular season games with 34 games coming both at home and on the road.
The KMets open the season at home, Tuesday, June 19, with a three-game series against the Princeton Rays. The regular season concludes on the road, Wednesday, August 29 against the Johnson City Cardinals in Johnson City.
Home game times will remain the same as last season beginning at 6:30pm, Monday through Saturday, and 4pm for Sunday home games.
New to the Appalachian League this season, the Greeneville Reds come to Hunter Wright Stadium for seven games, starting with a four-game series, July 10th through July 13th and a three-game series, July 31st through August 2nd.
Camp Day, which has become a yearly tradition, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11th. Special game time is 11am. The game is a scheduled day game designed to allow local camps and organizations to bring out their kids to a game as well as giving fans the opportunity to experience a day game at Hunter Wright Stadium.
In conjunction with the City of Kingsport's FunFest activities, the KMets will host their annual "FunFest Night at the Ballpark" on Monday, July 16th. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. All general admission tickets for the FunFest game are $4.
Other promotions to keep an eye out for on the schedule are post-game fireworks, giveaway nights and the very popular Dollar Thursday. Dollar Thursday promotion is $1 hot dogs, $1 soda and $1 beer every Thursday home game. Visit kmets.com soon for more of the upcoming promotional schedule.
In 2017, the KMets finished with a 29-37 overall record, fourth-place in the Appalachian League West Division. The KMets have won the West Division and made the playoffs two of the last five seasons.
