The Elizabethton Twins struck for 14 hits and scored 12 runs in a 12-6 rout of the Kingsport Mets on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Wright Stadium.
Mets pitchers struggled on the evening, surrendering 12 walks and throwing four wild pitches.
Seven Twins hitters tallied RBIs on evening, including a pair apiece by Seth Gray and Max Smith.
The KMets offense tried to keep the game within striking distance thanks to RBI-singles by Cristopher Pujols, Sebastian Espino, and Tanner Murphy, as well as a two-run opposite field homer by Wilfred Astudillo.
The Mets now embark on a six-game, seven-day road trip that will see them playing series in Burlington and Johnson City.

The Mets will return home Monday, July 1 as they host the Bristol Pirates for a three-game series.
