(NORFOLK, VA) -- Everth Cabrera's RBI single in the top of the seventh inning broke a 1-1 tie and led the Charlotte Knights to a 3-1 win over the Norfolk Tides in game two of a four-game series from Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA on Friday. The win snapped Charlotte's two-game losing skid.

Cabrera had a memorable night at the plate for the Knights in Friday's game. Cabrera, who spent the entire 2016 season playing professionally in Nicaragua, went 3-for-4 with a run scored, a stolen base, and an RBI. With the game knotted at 1-1 in the seventh, his RBI single off Norfolk reliever Vidal Nuño (1-2, 4.26) propelled the Knights to a 2-1 lead. Two batters later, Ryan Raburn continued his early season dominance of Norfolk pitching.

Raburn entered the game with a .421 (8-for-19) batting average against the Tides in seven games this season. The 36-year-old outfielder picked up right where he left off in the first inning of Friday's game with an RBI single off Norfolk starter Chris Lee. Raburn's first inning RBI single gave the Knights an early 1-0 lead. He later added a second RBI single in the seventh inning, which put the Knights ahead by a score of 3-1. In eight games this season against the Tides, Raburn is now batting .435 (10-for-19) with seven RBIs.

RHP Tyler Danish started for the Knights and allowed just one run on five hits over five innings. Danish, who did not factor in the decision, walked four batters and threw a total of 92 pitches. RHP Juan Minaya (1-0, 1.42) came on in relief of Danish and gave up just three hits over two shutout innings. He earned his first win of the season. RHP Brad Goldberg recorded the final six outs on way to earning his fourth save of the season.

Cody Asche made his debut with the Knights and went 1-for-5. Adam Engel, who homered in Thursday's opener, reached base three times on Friday (1-for-2 with a double and two walks).

The Knights will continue their four-game series against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) on Saturday night with game three of the series. RHP Chris Volstad (1-2, 6.43) will get the start for the Knights against Norfolk RHP Tyler Wilson (0-3, 4.87). Pre-game radio coverage of Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game will begin at 6:50 p.m. on ESPN Charlotte (730 AM) and CharlotteKnights.com. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad will have the call for all of the action.
