Knights Unveil 2014 Uniforms

On Saturday, March 22 at 12:15 p.m., the Charlotte Knights unveiled their uniforms for the 2014 season at BB&T Ballpark. Nearly five months to the day that the club unveiled their new logos (October 24, 2013), the Knights showed off their new "unis" with help from media members from around the Charlotte region. In less than a month (April 11th), the team will wear the new uniforms on Opening Day against the Norfolk Tides. 

White pinstripe uniforms are back and better than ever as the new Knights home jerseys feature the team's new "Knights" logo across the chest. Black glitter gold numbers will adorn the left side of the front jerseys, while each player's name and number will be prominent on the back of the jerseys. In past seasons, the Knights did not have player names on the back of their jerseys.

The alternate "K" logo is prominent on the left sleeve of the home uniforms, while the right sleeve features the 2014 inaugural season logo. The inaugural season logo will just be worn during the 2014 season and not in future seasons. Pinstripe pants with black socks complete the home uniforms.

When the Knights hit the road for 72 games this season, the team will don grey uniforms. Each of the jerseys will feature the words "Charlotte" across the chest. Glitter gold numbers with a black outline can be found on the left side of the front, as well as on the back of the uniforms. The left sleeve has the alternate "K" logo, while the right sleeve features the 2014 inaugural season logo (just for the 2014 season). Grey pants with black trim and black socks complete the road uniforms.

On a number of occasions this season -- including at both home and road games -- the Knights will wear black uniforms. The black jerseys feature the "C" logo on the left front chest, along with glitter gold numbers with black outline. The jerseys will have white trim down the center. The alternate "K" logo will once again be featured on the left sleeve, along with the inaugural season logo on the right sleeve (just for the 2014 season).

The jerseys were designed by Brandiose -- the same designers of the Knights four new logos. The logo development process began in February of 2012 when company founders Jason Klein and Casey White met in Charlotte with fans, Knights staff and community members to learn about the region and the Knights. With input from all of these groups, Brandiose developed the new look just like they have done for dozens of MiLB clubs and Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds.
