(Eastlake, OH) – The Lake County Captains (64-53) tied their season long winning streak with a fourth straight win on Thursday, beating the Beloit Snappers (53-64) 6-3 on Thursday night at Classic Park.

Beloit took the lead in the top of the fourth inning. JD Orr struck out to start the inning, but reached first when the ball went to the backstop on a wild pitch. Víctor Víctor Mesa then lined a single to right and moved to second when the throw by right fielder Johnathan Rodríguez went to third. With men on second and third, Connor Scott hit a bouncer to first base and Joe Narano threw out Orr at the plate. Bennett Hostetler followed with a line single to center that scored Mesa to give Beloit a 1-0 lead.

R**aynel Delgado** knotted the score with one swing in the bottom of the fourth. One day after hitting a go-ahead, pinch-hit homer in the eighth inning, Delgado slammed a solo shot to right-center off of Beloit starter M.D. Johnson to even the score at 1-1.

The Captains took the lead later in the fourth. Johnson hit Julian Escobedo with a pitch and walked Christian Cairo. José Tena then ripped a double into the left-center field alley. Escobedo scored to give the Captains a 2-1 lead. With men on second and third, Jhonkensy Noel hit a chopper up the middle that bounced under the glove of second baseman Ricky Aracena for an infield single that plated Cairo to make the score 3-1.

The Snappers came back to tie the score in the top of the sixth. Facing the order for the third time, Captains starter Zach Draper retired the first two men of the frame before giving up a two-out double to Scott to left-center. After Draper hit Hostetler, Troy Johnston ripped a two-run double into the left field corner to even the score at 3-3. Andrew Misiaszek relieved Draper and got Jan Mercado to pop out to left to end the inning, stranding Johnston on second.

A big fly put the Captains back on top in the bottom of the sixth. After Escobedo hit a 1-2 pitch by Jackson Rose up the middle for a leadoff single, Cairo launched a 1-1 offering into the left field bleachers. The homer gave the Captains a 5-3 lead.

Tena gave the Captains one last bit of insurance in the bottom of the eighth. He blasted a solo home run to straight away center field to make the score 6-3, Lake County.

A**ndrew Misiaszek** (1-0) earned the win with 2.1 stellar innings out of the bullpen. He did not allow a run, limiting the Snappers to one hit with six strikeouts.

Jackson Rose (2-2) was handed the loss out of the Beloit bullpen. He allowed two runs on four hits and struck out five.

Cade Smith (1) earned his first save for the Captains. He struck out two and walked one to close the game.

H**unter Gaddis** is scheduled to start game four of the six game series for Lake County on Thursday. First pitch at Classic Park is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
