LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - The Lake Elsinore Storm Professional Baseball Team is honored to once again participate in Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión, a Hispanic/Latinx outreach initiative, though this year will be the start of something completely new and unique.

Storm Baseball, in partnership with the City of Lake Elsinore, is eager to share its new identity for designated Copa games in 2019. The organization invites the residents and neighbors of Lake Elsinore and all Storm faithful throughout the surrounding communities to a logo unveiling party at City Park off South Main Street in Lake Elsinore on Saturday, March 23 from 11am-1pm.

"It'll be a festive, family fun atmosphere with music, dancing and great food," said Storm General Manager, Raj Narayanan. "And we're going to have a new ball club in town traveling from time to time in the 2019 Storm season."

The family-friendly event, FREE to the public, will include a FREE hot dog, chips & drink voucher to the first 250 event goers good at a 2019 Cadejos game, as well as a live DJ, folklórico performances, inflatables, local vendors, food trucks, along with merchandise & ticket buying opportunities tailored around the club's new Copa identity.

The upcoming 2019 campaign will mark MiLB's third consecutive year under the Copa de la Diversíon initiative. Lake Elsinore will be one of 72 participating Minor League clubs, more than doubling the involvement from last season.

"Minor League Baseball's commitment to multicultural inclusiveness extends to all 160 of our teams' communities," said Kurt Hunzeker, Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Research for Minor League Baseball. "The Storm has been at the forefront of inclusion in every facet of their business operations and in their fan outreach since its inception. The team's new brand and next chapter in MiLB's Copa de la Diversión's Latinx fan development program is authentic, beautifully designed and perfectly suited for Lake Elsinore's unique market."

The unveiling is the first of two Storm events that weekend. The 13th annual Sip 'N Swing Pre-Season Party, presented by Caron Construction and The QuietCool Guys, takes place at The Diamond on Sunday, March 24 from 11am-3pm. This celebration is a FREE event for guests of all ages, giving fans the opportunity to participate in on-field batting practice, free Kids Fun Zone, while also enjoying great food, drinks, stadium tours and the chance to win some fantastic prizes.
