The Lake Elsinore Storm again displayed their immense talent tonight at the Diamond. In a dominating victory, the Storm combined for 16 hits, 9 walks, and 14 runs. Every player in the lineup got on base, eight of the nine had at least one hit, and five of the nine had a multi-hit game.

The Storm jumped on the Rawhide early tonight, scoring 12 runs in the first two innings alone. Meanwhile, Nick Thwaits provided quality assistance as he was able to get through 5 innings, striking out 5, and only allowing 2 earned runs. Cullen Dana would relieve him in the 6th inning and prove dominant in his first appearance with the Storm. He would go 2 innings, setting down 6 straight batters, and striking out 4.

Jose Garcia and Jason Reynolds would close the game out in an efficient fashion. They would allow just 1 run and 4 hits in the final two innings of the game.

The top of the order feasted tonight on Rawhide pitching as the top 4 batters would go a combined 10-20 with 6 RBIs, 4 walks, and 6 runs. Euribiel Angeles would increase his hitting streak to an incredible 20 straight games and hold his league-best batting average of .351.

Top prospects Joshua Mears and Robert Hassell lll would combine for 4 hits, 4 RBIs, and 2 walks as Mears would smash a home run to put this game out of reach in the 2nd inning.

The Storm hope to keep this offensive momentum going tomorrow night at 6:35 for Woof Wednesday at The Diamond!
