Faedo started one game on May 18 against the Tampa Tarpons at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. He earned the victory after pitching 7 shutout innings and allowing only 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 HBP and striking out 5.
This is Faedo's first professional season. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round (18th overall) of the June 2017 draft. Faedo, 22, currently ranks as the #3 prospect in the Tigers organization by MLB.com. He led the University of Florida to its first national title in 2017, earning College World Series Most Outstanding Pitcher honors.
