Lakeland, FL -  After knocking 25 hits in the first two games of the series, the Flying Tigers could not muster any offense against Tucker Davidson and the Fire Frogs. The 5-0 loss ended Lakeland's six-game winning streak.

Aided by the Flying Tigers defense, the Fire Frogs scored all five runs within the first three innings. Jordan Rodgers led off the second inning with a walk and used two wild pitches by Gregory Soto to travel around the bases and score. In the third, Drew Waters doubled and scored on an error, putting the Fire Frogs up 2-0. Following two singles and a sac fly later in the inning, the Fire Frogs quickly moved ahead 5-0.
A day after scoring 11 runs on 15 hits, Lakeland's offense dissipated against Davidson, who threw a career-high 7 1/3 innings. The only Flying Tigers to record a hit were AJ Simcox, Andres Sthormes, and Derek Hill.
With the loss and a win by Clearwater, the Flying Tigers now trail the Threshers by four games in the Florida State League North Division with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
