Lakeland, FL - Flying Tigers pitcher Spenser Watkins has been selected to the 2018 Florida State League (FSL) All-Star team. Watkins joins teammates Daz Cameron, Isaac Paredes, and Eduardo Jiménez as selections to the team. Austin Athmann was also selected but is currently injured and will not play in the

Lakeland, FL - Flying Tigers pitcher Spenser Watkins has been selected to the 2018 Florida State League (FSL) All-Star team. Watkins joins teammates Daz Cameron, Isaac Paredes, and Eduardo Jiménez as selections to the team. Austin Athmann was also selected but is currently injured and will not play in the game. The 57^th annual FSL All-Star Game will take place at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, home of the Tampa Tarpons, on Saturday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Watkins is currently 4-1 with a 1.40 ERA. He has allowed only 36 hits and 12 walks in 45.0 innings pitched with 33 strikeouts. He is just a few innings pitched short of qualifying for the league lead in ERA and WHIP (1.07) and batting average against (.226). Watkins, 25, was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 30^th round of the June 2014 draft from Western Oregon University.
