LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws will open their 20th season at the Jersey Shore on Thursday, April 16th, the team announced as part of an unveiling of the 2020 BlueClaws schedule. 
The BlueClaws will open the season April 9th on the road and will play four games in Greensboro and three in Delmarva before coming to Lakewood for the 20th Opening Night in FirstEnergy Park history.

"We're very excited for our 20th season at FirstEnergy Park," said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. "It promises to be a very special year and we can't wait to get it all started on April 16th! It's 231 days from the final home game of this season to the first one of next year, but that wait will be worth it!"
The 2020 BlueClaws schedule includes 11 Thirsty Thursdays, 11 Fridays, and 11 Saturday home games. Once again, the BlueClaws will have over 20 fireworks shows during the season. This season, there will be post-game fireworks following the game on Opening Night, April 16th. 
The BlueClaws are winding down the 2019 season, which was one to be proud of. The addition of post-game fireworks for all Thursday, Friday, and Saturday games starting in June, live entertainment in the Biergarten, a refurbishment of the Investors Bank Picnic Areas, and some new family-friendly ticket plans lead the team to 20 sold out games this season.
"We replaced the old 7-game Mini-Plan with a more family friendly 5-game and added a ton of value," said Ricciutti, referring to the new Boardwalk Bundle ticket plans which include the game, a complimentary hot dog, small soda, novelty ice cream, and game tickets for the Toyota World of Lakewood Home Run Pavilion. Ricciutti added: "We wanted to create a great value where a family coming to a game can leave their wallet in their pocket for the whole game if they wanted to."

Next year, the BlueClaws will also be home on Father's Day (June 21st), July 3rd (for the biggest fireworks show of the season), and Labor Day (September 7th). 
Charleston, the Yankees affiliate, will come to Lakewood for a three-game series from July 21st - 23rd. Columbia, the Mets affiliate, will make two visits to FirstEnergy Park. The Fireflies will visit the Shore from April 30th - May 3rd and again from June 18th - 21st. 
Additionally, next season will include special promotions and celebrations recognizing the first 20 years of baseball at FirstEnergy Park. The team will have additional information on their 20th season celebration over the next few months.
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. The team recently eclipsed the 7.5-million fan plateau and sold out 20 games in 2019.
