GREENSBORO, NC - Greensboro swept a double-header from the BlueClaws on Sunday, winning 8-0 and 2-0 in salvaging a split of the four-game series. The BlueClaws had won the first two games on Thursday and Saturday nights.
The BlueClaws fall to 21-18 on the year and Greensboro, who had lost 10 of 11 coming into Sunday, improved to 18-21. 
The Grasshoppers won the opener 8-0 behind seven scoreless innings from Edward Cabrera (1-3). Greensboro scored three times off Spencer Howard in the first inning of game one, including an RBI double from Marcos Rivera and an RBI single by Micah Brown.
Rivera would add a three-run home run in the fifth inning, with two of the three charged to Howard. It was Rivera's third home run of the season.
Howard allowed seven runs in 4.1 innings of work, falling to 3-3 on the season.
In game two, Dustin Beggs, who went four, and Colton Hock (5-3), who went the last three, combined to shutout the BlueClaws allowing just one hit apiece.
Greensboro opened the scoring in the first inning of game two on an RBI single by Lazaro Alonzo. They added a fifth inning run on a bunt RBI single from Micah Brown.
Lakewood starter Damon Jones (2-2) allowed two runs in five innings of work.
The BlueClaws had been shutout once in their first 40 games but got shutout twice on Sunday. Daniel Brito had three hits in the first game for Lakewood.
