SALISBURY, MD - Blaine Knight threw five scoreless innings and Tim Naughton got the last six outs as Delmarva topped the BlueClaws 6-3 on Thursday night in Lakewood's first road game of the season. 
The BlueClaws (3-5) have dropped back to back games after their three-game win streak while the Shorebirds (5-1) have won five of six to open their season. 
Delmarva opened the scoring with two runsin the third, including one on a throwing error from second baseman Cole Stobbe, and added two more in the fourth. Doran Turchn led off the inning with a solo home run and a SAC fly from Branden Becker's SAC fly put the Shorebirds up 4-0. 
The BlueClaws battled back back into the game scoring three times in the sixth. Rafael Marchan's RBI double got the BlueClaws on the board and Carlos De La Cruz (groundout) and Jake Holmes (SAC fly) brought the BlueClaws within a run.
The Shorebirds, however, pushed across two more runs in the sixth, including one on an RBI single from Adam Hall, to open a 6-3 lead.
BlueClaws starter Dominic Pipkin (0-1) gave up four runs, two earned, in three innings of work. 
Delmarva starter Blaine Knight (1-0) earned the win, allowing two hits over five scoreless innings while striking out six. 
Alec Bohm had two hits in the loss for the BlueClaws while four Shorebirds (Hall, Turchan, Curran, and Fajardo) had two hits in their win.
The teams continue their series on Friday night at 7:05 pm. RHP Victor Santos (1-0) starts for Lakewood opposite RHP Grayson Rodriguez (1-0).
