Castro, JetHawks walk off on Sixers
LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks needed an extra inning to beat Inland Empire Saturday, beating the 66ers, 5-4, in ten innings at The Hangar. Luis Castro drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the tenth inning.
LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks needed an extra inning to beat Inland Empire Saturday, beating the 66ers, 5-4, in ten innings at The Hangar.
Lancaster (33-34) held Inland Empire scoreless in the top of the tenth inning.
In the bottom of the tenth,
Castro drove in three runs Saturday, giving him 51 on the season. He gave the JetHawks a two-run lead in the sixth inning with a two-run home run, his 16th of 2019.
Inland Empire (26-42) hit four solo home runs in the game, giving them 15 over the first four games of the series.
The JetHawks have an opportunity to even their record with a win Sunday. They close out a five-game series against the 66ers prior to the All-Star Break.
Lancaster and Inland Empire finish up the five-game set on Father's Day.
