Bouchard and Vilade combine for six hits, six RBI in victory

LANCASTER, Calif. - Lancaster did not need a comeback Friday night to win as they took down Rancho Cucamonga, 13-7, at The Hangar. The JetHawks, playing as El Viento de Lancaster for the sixth time this year, improved to 11-5 versus the Quakes this season.

LANCASTER, Calif. - Lancaster did not need a comeback Friday night to win as they took down Rancho Cucamonga, 13-7, at The Hangar. The JetHawks, playing as El Viento de Lancaster for the sixth time this year, improved to 11-5 versus the Quakes this season.

Sean Bouchard and Ryan Vilade led the charge on offense for Lancaster (2-0, 36-34). Bouchard led off the second inning with a home run, the first of two for him in the game. Bouchard reached base five times and is 8-for-8 to start the Second Half.
The JetHawks scored five in the second inning, knocking out Rancho starter Michael Grove (0-3). Lancaster scored four more in the fourth inning, and added four more in their final two at-bats.
Vilade had three hits for Lancaster, extending his hitting streak to eight games. He drove in two with a single in the fourth inning. Bouchard and Vilade hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning to seal the win.
Will Gaddis (4-5) earned the win for Lancaster. He allowed four runs over six innings. It was the fifth consecutive start of at least six innings for Gaddis.
Rancho Cucamonga (0-2, 41-29) got another big game from Donovan Casey. The outfielder homered twice, giving him three in the series. Devin Mann also hit one out for the Quakes.
With the win, the JetHawks are 2-0 to start the Second Half. Lancaster is 11-5 against the Quakes this season.
The four-game series continues Saturday night. Garrett Schilling (4-2) gets the start for Lancaster against Rancho righty Josiah Gray (3-0). First pitch is 6:05 pm at The Hangar.
