(LANCASTER, CA) - The Clear Channel Stadium concession stand menu has been revamped and is ready for the 2012 season. Fans can enjoy a number of new mouth-watering items including this year's marquee dish, the Hawk's Nest. This JetHawks original creation is a nest of crispy onion straws in a bowl, topped with juicy chicken strips, chili, and cheese.
The menu will also bring the taste of Hawaii to the ballpark. The new Pork Chop Sandwich combines grilled pork chops, pineapple, and sweet BBQ sauce on a Kaiser roll. Other new items include root beer and orange creamsicle floats and a Cajun Dog (a hot link, topped with chili, cheese, and Cajun seasoning).
The concession stands have also been equipped with a new Point Of Sales system. The touch-screen technology will reduce lines and wait times while making ordering easier than ever.
"Last season we began to lay the foundation for a successful food and beverage operation here in Lancaster," said JetHawks Director of Food & Beverage Adam Fillenworth. "By getting the basics right and trying our best to please our fans we are taking steps to becoming the best ballpark food program in the California League."
Along with the new items, the menu will return old fan favorites like the tri-tip nachos, pulled pork sandwich, and "sweet po-tater tots". The traditional menu remains intact, featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwursts, nachos, candy and other ballpark staples.
Fans can sample the new menu for the first time on April 3 when the JetHawks take on the University of Antelope Valley Pioneers in an exhibition game at Clear Channel Stadium. The regular season home opener is set for April 12 against the Lake Elsinore Storm.
