Lugnuts Release 2020 Promotional Schedule

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts 25th Anniversary Promotional Schedule is released, coming off of a successful 2019 season in which the Lugnuts won the Larry MacPhail Promotional Award, an annual accolade that is awarded to the team with the best season-long promotional schedule in the Midwest League each season. The 25th Anniversary Promotional Schedule is headlined by the 25th Anniversary Bobblehead Series presented by Sparrow, MI Student Aid and Physicians Health Plan. This bobblehead series will be a season-long giveaway series of four of the best Lugnuts ever, as voted on by fans!
In homage to the inaugural season, the Lugnuts are hosting the Capital Clash on April 14th, a collegiate game between Michigan and Michigan State at Cooley Law School Stadium, reviving the first ever event at what was then Oldsmobile Park in 1996.
Two days later, the Lugnuts' 2020 season kicks off April 16th with an Opening Night Block Party, again throwing it back to 1996 with $5 tickets and exclusive in-game prizing.
The Lugnuts bring back other fan favorites, including a Saturday night Independence Day celebration, including a double fireworks show (the Lugnuts' LAFCU Fireworks followed by the City of Lansing's fireworks), and the 14th annual Crosstown Showdown against Michigan State to wrap up the regular season on September 8th.

• Copa de la Diversión: The Lansing Locos return for four dates throughout the summer, highlighting a different Hispanic theme each night including the benefits of being bilingual, Hispanic sports figures in Lansing history, and a sampling of local Hispanic and Latinx restaurants' best dishes.

• A Tribute to Tool Time featuring Richard Karn: What time is it? TOOL TIME at Cooley Law School Stadium! Put on your best flannel shirt and tool belt and meet Home Improvement's Al Borland as played by Richard Karn on August 29th as we celebrate Michigan's favorite 1990s sitcom. Learn tricks of the trades with woodworking shops, welding classes, and buy some homemade trinkets from your favorite vendors while basking in the nostalgia of Home Improvement.

• Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act: On July 18th, come check out Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act, the man who can balance ANYTHING on his chin! Ladder, bicycle, extended-paint handle; you name it, he'll balance it! Don't believe us? Come see for yourself and check out another LAFCU Fireworks show while you're at it!

• Claws & Paws: This Lugnuts original returns TWICE at Cooley Law School Stadium this summer; join us on April 29th and September 2nd for $3 White Claws and free entry for your furry friends!
