(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.)  The Lexington Legends' annual Fan Fest, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, will include all its traditional fun.  Tickets for individual home games will go on sale for the first time. Big L will be there, and fans will enjoy inflatables, games and a variety of giveaways.

But this year, there's also something new: baseball.  The final two games of the Hits for Home Invitational sponsored by Whitaker Bank will be played as Fan Fest is going on.  Wolfe County will play Morgan County at 11 a.m., and Paintsville will take on Bath County at 1 p.m.  In all, 16 high school teams will play in the eight-game, four-day Hits for Home event, which benefits areas affected by the March 2012 tornadoes.

Free food will be available in the Kentucky Ale Taproom for anyone who has purchased a 2013 ticket plan or for any fan who purchases a ticket at the Legends box office during Fan Fest.

The Legends Locker merchandise store will be open throughout Fan Fest, and all the new-look, new-logo Legends merchandise will be available, including the popular caps with the mustache logo.  Fans will also find merchandise from the Legends new major league partner, the Kansas City Royals.

To further celebrate the 'stache, there will be a mustache-making station set up inside the park.

Seats for any of the 70 Legends' home games will go on sale when Fan Fest begins.  In addition, those who have purchased season ticket packages may pick up their tickets at the box office during Fan Fest.  Fans will also have the chance to choose their seats by trying out different locations and views around Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Free guided tours of the ballpark will be available.

There is no admission charge to Fan Fest or to Saturday's Hits for Home Invitational games.  (Admission to the games is five dollars per person on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army for allocation to the affected communities.)
