(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) There will be bargains at the ballpark Saturday, November 16 when the Lexington Legends hold their second annual rummage sale at Whitaker Bank Ballpark from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The Legends are offering space for those who have items to sell. Through November 10, vendors may rent one 18' x 18' space (the equivalent of two standard ballpark parking spaces) for $15. Beginning November 11, spaces will be rented for $20 each. Each additional space would cost $10. Rental fees are non-refundable, and all payments must be made before the day of the rummage sale. Rental agreement forms are available at www.lexingtonlegends.com.. About 40 vendors participated in the sale last year.
Vendor set-up will begin at 6 a.m. November 16.
Visitors also can expect to see a variety of Legends promotional items and other ballpark items available for purchase.
"It's that time of year again, time for us to clean out our closets and tidy up around the ballpark now that the season has concluded," said Sarah Bosso, the Legends' director of community relations and special events. "We'll have a wide variety of things for sale this year, so be sure to check in occasionally on Facebook for updates on specifics. You'll never know what you might find for sale out here!"
Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will collect unsold items after the sale concludes.
In the event of bad weather, a postponement or cancellation would be determined and announced by the Legends.
