(Rochester, NY) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (72-63) bullpen didn’t allow a run and Darick Hall hit his 25th home run of the season, but it wasn’t enough as the Rochester Red Wings (60-76) won 5-3 on Tuesday evening.

Rochester scored five runs against Noah Skirrow (0-1) in the bottom of the third inning. Taylor Gushue hit his fourth home run of the season and Jake Alu hit a grand slam, his ninth home run of the season. Rafael Marchan hit an RBI double against Patrick Murphy in the top of the fourth inning to cut Rochester’s lead to 3-1.

Hall’s home run came against Connor Sadzeck in the top of the seventh inning – a two-run home run that trimmed the Red Wings’ lead to 5-3.

Jonathan Hennigan struck out the side in the bottom of the sixth inning. Erik Miller and Chris Devenski each pitched back-to-back scoreless innings in relief.

Alberto Baldonado (2-2) earned his second win of the season. He struck out two batters and gave up just one hit in 1 1/3 innings in relief. Reed Garrett earned his second save of the season by striking out two batters in the top of the ninth inning.

The IronPigs and Red Wings play again on Wednesday afternoon at Frontier Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
