The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (62-68) ended their home slate with a convincing 6-2 win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (70-62) on Sunday afternoon.

The IronPigs scored four runs against Brody Koerner (4-5) in the bottom of the second inning to take a 4-0 lead. Jose Pirela hit an RBI double that was followed by a two-run double from Malquin Canelo. Ali Castillo hit an RBI single for the final run of the inning. They extended the lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning as Nick Hundley hit a sacrifice fly to score Andrew Romine.
The RailRiders got a run against Cole Irvin (6-1) in the top of the fourth inning as Mandy Alvarez hit an RBI single to score Clint Frazier. That would be the only run Irvin would allow through six innings. He gave up seven hits and recorded seven strikeouts.
They Pigs got a run against Tyler Lyons in the bottom of the seventh inning as Pirela hit an RBI single to score Romine to give the Pigs a 6-1 lead. Luke Voit hit an RBI single against Nick Vincent in the top of the ninth inning to cut the IronPigs lead to 6-2.
Tyler Gilbert pitched two scoreless innings in relief and recorded two strikeouts.
The IronPigs will finish the 2019 season on the road. They begin by playing a doubleheader on Monday evening in Syracuse. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
