The Syracuse Mets (72-63) lineup led the way on Wednesday evening as they beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (63-71) 8-3.

The Mets took a 3-0 lead against Enyel De Los Santos (5-7) in the bottom of the first inning. Danny Espinosa hit an RBI double while Dilson Herrera and Grégor Blanco both hit sacrifice flies. The IronPigs got a run against Harol Gonzalez (5-0) in the top of the second inning as Austin Listi hit his 12th home run of the season.
Phil Gosselin doubled off Gonzalez in the top of the fifth inning to score De Los Santos and cut Syracuse's lead to 3-2. The Mets extended their lead to 5-2 against De Los Santos in the bottom of the fifth inning as Brandon Nimmo hit a two-run home run. The Mets scored two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as Sam Haggerty hit a two-run double.
Syracuse took an 8-2 lead against Kyle Dohy in the bottom of the seventh inning as Rymer Liriano scored on a fielder's choice hit by Arismendy Alcantara. The IronPigs got a run in the top of the ninth inning against Daniel Zamora as Listi hit an RBI single to score Jose Pirela.
The IronPigs and Mets wrap up their season series on Thursday evening at NBT Bank Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
