A home run in the second inning would highlight an offensive surge but pitching and defense would take center stage in the Lookout 4-1 win last night in Mobile. Ryan Walker would hit a two out solo home run for the lead that would not be relinquished. The Lookouts would get a bases loaded walk and a sac-fly in the fifth inning to make it a 4-1 advantage. They would be retired in order the next four innings. The defense took over with two key double plays. One that would end the game as Jon Rodriguez leaped in the air to grab a line drive then pick the runner at third for the win.
