Loons Announce 2013 Schedule

11 Family Feasts Nights return every Thursday in 2013

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons are pleased to announce the team's schedule for the upcoming 2013 season, which features 11 Feast Nights and 11 weekends of Loons baseball.

The Loons will open their seventh season at home on Thursday, April 4, at 6:05 p.m. and begin a four-game series with the Fort Wayne TinCaps. The team will play a total of 140 baseball games throughout the summer, 70 on the road and 70 at Dow Diamond, with the season concluding on Labor Day, September 2, in Fort Wayne.

The Loons will have 13 home games in April, 13 in May, 15 in June, 14 in July, and 15 in August. The ever-popular $1 Family Feast Nights, presented by Chemical Bank, will return to Dow Diamond for every Thursday home game, including the home opener. On these 11 dates, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, 16 oz. Coke products, and ice cream sandwiches throughout the game. The 2013 schedule will also include many Fireworks Loontaculars, powered by Dow Corning; dates to be announced later.

Loons game times at Dow Diamond will remain mostly unchanged for 2013, with the adjustment coming to Sunday games, which will now begin at 3:05 p.m. As usual, Monday through Saturday games in April will begin at 6:05 p.m., before moving to 7:05 p.m. for the remainder of the season. There will be two School Kids Day games this season (5/6 & 5/15), each scheduled to start at 10:35 a.m.

The Loons ticket staff is currently taking orders for season ticket and mini-packages for all home games as well as group reservations for Dow Diamond's group venues.

The Loon Loft team store is currently closed for the offseason, but will reopen for the holidays on Monday, November 26 through December 21. The store, located at Dow Diamond, will be open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those dates. Fans can also purchase Loons gear or team gift cards anytime on Loons.com.
