Social Media Intern

Compensation: Hourly (part-time) or Class Credit Internship

Start Date:  November 1, 2018      End Date: September 15, 2019


The Social Media Intern will assist with season-long digital marketing and social media campaigns and provide day-to-day social media executions. The ideal candidate is comfortable and active across the main social media platforms, confident and poised in interactions with athletes and fans, and is willing to contribute creatively. The Social Media Intern reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing & Design.


  • Brainstorm social media promotions to highlight the Bats brand and maximize revenue

  • Lead day-to-day execution of social media posts and maintain the social media calendar with promotional posts, historical content and organization needs

  • Full understanding of each social media platform and its capabilities while staying on top of trends and advancements

  • Work with internal creative team to strategize and develop engaging social media content from concept to execution 

  • Collect social media content that creatively delivers team news and covers 70 games

  • Assist with executing paid advertisements for promotional events

  • Help monitor and respond to social media customer service inquiries and keep track of influencer

  • Create and present weekly/monthly analytics social media reports including the best content & promos

  • Research strategies of other MiLB/MLB teams and other professional sports

  • Contribute to team email blast communication and website development

  • Other duties as necessary


  • Bachelor's Degree OR working toward degree

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
