Bats announce 2018 promotional schedule

Fireworks, Giveaways, Theme Nights & more!

Louisville Bats baseball is right around the corner with the release of the Bats' 2018 Promotional Schedule. Louisville Bats baseball is right around the corner with the release of the Bats' 2018 Promotional Schedule. The upcoming season is jam-packed with special events, theme nights, giveaways, throwbacks, fireworks, and more!
The Bats open 2018 at Louisville Slugger Field on Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. against the Toledo Mud Hens. Opening Night will showcase the season's first Friday Night Fireworks show, along with special ticket discounts, $2 beer from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and a magnetic schedule giveaway to the first 3,000 fans.
Thunder at Slugger, presented by Window World, will take place on Saturday, April 21. Fans will once again be able to enjoy the baseball game (2:00 PM vs Syracuse Chiefs), air show, postgame concert & Thunder Over Louisville fireworks when purchasing a ticket.
Giveaways during the season include a Tucker Barnhart Gold Glove Commemorative Bobblehead (Apr. 7), Buddy Bat Garden Gnome (June 22), special-edition Captain America Bobblehead (June 23), Stars & Stripes Hat (July 3), Mesh Hat (July 13), Pee Wee Reese Replica Statue (July 28), and special-edition Hulk Bobblehead (Aug. 11).
The Bats will continue to host traditional fan-favorite promotions such as Thirsty Thursdays (new extended hours in 2018), Friday Night Fireworks, Dollar Menu Night, Bark in the Park, Kids Eat Free, Party at the Park, and three Education Days.
Special theme nights & events making a return in 2018 include Halloween Night (Apr. 7), Boy Scout Nights (May 11 & Aug. 25), STAR WARS Night (May 12), Memorial Day Eve Fireworks (May 27), July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza, Christmas in July (July 6), and Labor Day Eve Fireworks (Sep. 2).
New for the 2018 season the Bats will host Derby at the Diamond (May 1), Jurassic Night (May 11), Cheers to Bourbon Night (May 26), MARVEL Super Hero Nights (June 23 & Aug. 11), and a Throwback Weekend (July 27 & 28) featuring special pregame celebrations and classic throwback jerseys. In addition, the team will be hosting the first-ever Quarter Hot Dog games on May 30, July 25 & September 3.
Food and drink provider Centerplate will again unveil a slate of delicious, locally-inspired items for Bats fans during the 2018 season. Fan favorites will return, but there will also be a new take on the nachos, a new option of pretzel bun for sandwiches and a handful of bourbon-flavored items that capture the true taste of Louisville cuisine.
All individual game tickets go on sale Monday, February 5 @ 10:00 AM. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting batsbaseball.com/tickets.
