TOLEDO, Ohio - The Louisville Bats (57-80) fell to the Toledo Mud Hens (66-71) by a 2-0 score Friday night at Fifth Third Field. José Peraza made his first minor league appearance in over three years, going 2-for-4 with a double.

Bats starter Jesús Reyes (1-6, 5.03) was stuck with a tough-luck loss, allowing just one earned run over 6.0 innings, walking and striking out four on 100 pitches and 57 strikes. The lone run he allowed came in the form of a bases loaded walk to Daz Cameron, which proved to be the game-winning RBI with the Bats' offense held scoreless on the night.
Toledo pitching kept Louisville off the bases for the most part, allowing just seven baserunners in the form of six hits and one walk. Peraza accounted for two of the six hits, while Brian O'Grady doubled to go along with Peraza's extra-base hit. Mud Hens starter Zac Reininger (4-3, 4.08) got the win after tossing 5.0 scoreless frames.
Louisville suffered its sixth shutout loss of the season, still above .500 in shutout games this season with a 7-6 mark.
Bats reliever Jackson Stephens allowed a Jeimer Candelario solo homer in one inning of work, while right-hander Matt Bowman threw a scoreless eighth.
Louisville and Toledo finish up their two-game set Saturday night at 7:05 in what will be the clubs' final matchup of the 2019 season. Right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez (5-11, 6.32) goes for Louisville in likely his final appearance of the season, while Toledo will go with a bullpen day.
