NORWICH, CT - The Spinners (33-35) rolled in to Norwich with a five-game losing streak and unfortunately that streak would grow to six after a disappointing loss to the Tigers.

Starting pitcher Jose Gonzalez delivered five innings but a three-run third inning put the Spinners in a hole. He also struck out three, walked four, and surrendered four hits.

Lowell got on the board in the top of the seventh after Grant Williams brought in Elih Marrero, making his Spinners debut, with a bases-loaded single to make it 3-1.

The Tigers added three more runs in the bottom of the seventh off of reliever Danny Bethea to push the lead to 6-1, ultimately securing the win for Connecticut.

With their sixth straight loss, the Spinners finish the series on Tuesday with Chris Machamer taking the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
