Road Trip Begins With A Loss

Spinners drop sixth straight in Hudson Valley

FISHKILL, NY - The Spinners kicked off a six-game road trip against the Hudson Valley Renegades looking to snap a five-game losing streak.

Lowell came out of the gate hot in the first inning with Jarren Duran leading the game off with the single. Devlin Granberg moved him over with a single of his own and Jake Romanski doubled home Duran to make it 1-0. Kole Cottam then grounded into a double play but managed to bring home Granberg to put the Spinners on top 2-0.

Yorvin Pantoja delivered a solid performance for the Spinners. In five innings, he surrendered three runs while striking out four with a walk.

Danny Bethea came in to relieve Pantoja in the in the sixth and surrendered an earned run, a pair of walks, and struck out one. The rehabbing Austin Glorius struck out three over two innings while shutting out of the Hudson Valley.

With a 4-2 loss, the Spinners fall below .500 and have now lost six in a row. Thaddeus Ward takes the mound on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
