Woodbridge, Va. - Today's game between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Potomac Nationals has been cancelled due to rain. Since the Hillcats and Nationals do not play each other again in the first half, the game is outright cancelled and will not be made up this season.

Potomac claims the de-facto rain-shortened three-game game series against Lynchburg after winning two of the three contests. Both teams are eliminated from post-season contention in the first half.

The Hillcats begin the second leg of their seven-game road trip on Monday, when they take on the Carolina League North Division first half Champions, the Wilmington Blue Rocks, A-Adv. affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. First pitch at Frawley Stadium is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

Max Gun will be on the air at 6:25 p.m. with the Hillcats pre-game show on TuneIn Radio and the Radio434 App.

The Hillcats will return home to face the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Thursday, June 13 for a four-game series, the final series of the season's first half. Weekend highlights include Thirsty Thursday, Fantastic Friday, Sparkling Saturday and Sandlot Sunday. Friday's game will feature a post-game fireworks show presented by Centra while Saturday's post-game fireworks show will be presented by Hometown Sales & Leasing Lynchburg & Madison Heights.
