PEARL, MS -- The Atlanta Braves announced its 2014 minor league field staffs this week during the annual Baseball Winter Meetings. Manager Aaron Holbert, pitching coach Dennis Lewallyn and trainer Ricky Alcantara all return for the 2014 season. New to Trustmark Park will be hitting coach Jamie Dismuke.

Holbert returns for his third season managing the Double-A Braves. He led the 2013 M-Braves to its first playoff appearance since 2008. The club went 76-63, posting a new M-Braves record for regular season wins. Holbert also saw two players called up directly to the Atlanta Braves last season: LHP Alex Wood on May 30 and catcher Christian Bethancourt on September 9. The California native spent 17 years as a player including big league appearances with St. Louis (1996) and Cincinnati (2005). He resides in Tampa, FL.

Lewallyn returns for his second season overseeing the M-Braves pitching staff. With a 3.07 team ERA, Lewallyn's 2013 staff posted the best numbers in Mississippi Braves history and ranked second overall in the Southern League. The 2014 season is Lewallyn's sixth season in the Southern League. He served in the same capacity with the Tennessee Smokies from 2007 to 2010. Lewallyn resides in Pensacola, FL.

A native of Syracuse, NY, Dismuke joins the M-Braves field staff after serving the previous five seasons as hitting coach for the Gwinnett Braves. Dismuke was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 12th round of the 1989 draft and played eight seasons as a minor league first baseman. Having spent five seasons as the Chattanooga Lookouts hitting coach, Dismuke is no stranger to the Southern League. He resides in Chattanooga, TN.

Alcantara returns for his seventh season in Mississippi. He's been in the Braves organization since interning with the Braves Instructional League in 2003. Alcantara is a graduate of Texas State University and resides in Dallas, TX.
