FRISCO, Texas -- The Frisco RoughRiders and TXA 21 have teamed together to broadcast 10 RoughRiders games this season.
The first game will be broadcast on Saturday, May 17, when the RoughRiders host the San Antonio Missions at 7 p.m. The remaining preliminary schedule includes three games in June and two games each in July and August. There also will be two more games broadcast on yet-to-be determined dates. All dates are subject to change based on other sports programming.
On Thursday, April 24, TXA 21 will broadcast live sports updates from Dr Pepper Ballpark during their TXA 21 News: First in Prime (7-9 p.m.) newscast.
RoughRiders announcer and Lone Star Emmy Award winner Scott Garner will do the play-by-play on all 10 of the broadcasts in 2008. He was awarded an Emmy following the 2006 season for best television play-by-play broadcast. The game broadcasts will feature a five minute pregame show and postgame shows up to 30 minutes in length.
