'12 Baseballtown All-Star Classic Tickets On-Sale Now

(Reading, PA) – Earlier today, the Eastern League announced the rosters for the 2011 Eastern League All-Star Game, which will be held at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in New Hampshire. In conjunction with that announcement, the R-Phils are pleased to announce that tickets for the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic, will go on-sale beginning on Thursday, June 30 for all current season ticket and mini-plan holders.

This will include the sale of tickets for all four Baseballtown All-Star Classic events:

•    Baseballtown All-Star Homerun Derby & Autograph Party to benefit the United Way of Berks County
•    Baseballtown All-Star Gala at Building 24
•    Baseballtown All-Star Luncheon at Crowne Plaza Reading to benefit Baseballtown Charities
•    Baseballtown All-Star Classic Game

“We are excited to offer tickets to the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic,” said R-Phils GM Scott Hunsicker. “We want to give our loyal season ticket holders and mini-plan holders the first opportunity at all of the Baseballtown All Star Classic tickets – including tickets to all four events. In fact, we are going to allow them to purchase as many tickets as they would like to all of the Baseballtown All Star Classic events before we put any tickets on sale to anyone else. It’s a reward to our season ticket holders and mini-plan holders – as they can get as many of the very best seats as they want for all the events.”

Beginning on Thursday at FirstEnergy Stadium, all current 2011 season ticket holders and mini-plan holders can purchase tickets to the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic Game and events, by renewing their season tickets or mini-plan for next season.

“The earlier a fan renews, the better the seats they will get for all of the Baseballtown All-Star Classic events,” said R-Phils Director of Ticket Operations Mike Becker. “This is the first time since 1974 that Reading has played host to this great event, and this will be an event R-Phils fans will not want to miss. I’m happy that we are able to offer this outstanding two-day event to our devoted fans.”

For season ticket holders and mini-plan holders interested in attending the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic, there will be a renewal table at FirstEnergy Stadium, at which time fans can renew their season tickets and purchase as many All-Star Game tickets as they would like. By renewing season tickets and mini-plans, fans will have the first opportunity to purchase as many 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic tickets as they want, before they go on-sale to the general public. Plus, by renewing season tickets this season, fans can lock in 2011 pricing on 2012 season tickets.

Also, as a special thanks for renewing season tickets or a mini-plans, the R-Phils will also hand out a limited amount of vouchers for a limited edition 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic pint glass for each season ticket or mini-plan purchased.

Existing season ticket holders and mini-plan holders have until July 29th to get as many tickets as they like for all Baseballtown All Star Classic events before they go on sale to anyone else. They can also order their tickets via fax, online, or at the box office.

For fans that are not currently a 2011 season ticket or mini-plan holder, but still want to get in on the early purchase opportunity for the Baseballtown All Star Classic tickets – they can do so.

The R-Phils have come up with a new and exciting Pick 3 Plan. The 2011 Pick 3 Plan is a box seat ticket for your choice of any 3 remaining 2011 home game. Any fan that purchases a brand-new Pick 3 Plan for the 2011 season will then be granted the same rights and privileges granted to other 2011 season ticket holders and mini-plan holders, including purchasing as many tickets as they would like for all Baseballtown All Star Classic events before they go on sale to anyone else. Pick 3 Plans are just $30 per seat.

The two-day All-Star event in Baseballtown will begin on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with the Baseballtown Home Run Derby and Autograph Party to benefit the United Way of Berks County. VIST Financial Plaza gates open at 4:00 p.m., and fans 21-years-old and over can enjoy Happy Hour. Fans will also be able to watch the stars of both Eastern League teams take part in batting practice (4:00 – 5:30 p.m.). Following batting practice, fans can enjoy a one-hour Autograph Party. Introductions will begin at 6:45 p.m., and the Home Run Derby is set for 7:00 p.m.

After the event, fans will want to continue the party by making their way over to Building 24 – the Works at Wyomissing, for a special Baseballtown All-Star Gala. For $75, fans can enjoy delicious food and open bar.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, the R-Phils will present the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic luncheon at the Crowne Plaza Reading Hotel, which benefits Baseballtown Charities. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m., and the price to attend is $60 per person, or $550 per table of ten.

That same evening, fans will want to head over to America’s Classic Ballpark for the 2012 Baseballtown All-Star Classic Game, which will feature the E.L. Eastern Division All-Stars against the E.L. Western Division All-Stars. VIST Financial Plaza gates open at 4:00 p.m., with the seating bowl set to open at 5:00 p.m. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

The Baseballtown All Star Classic is presented by Susquehanna Bank, All Star Distributing, Crowne Plaza Reading, and Building 24.
