Hector Noesi is yet another former Tampa Yankees star poised for greatness. The New York Yankees signed Noesi as an undrafted free agent in 2004 when he was 17 years old. Noesi turned 22 this year and has already made a big enough impact to be placed on the New York Yankees 40-man roster. This means that he will not be eligible for the rule 5 draft and now has the opportunity to pitch for the New York Yankees next season when the roster expands to 40 players in September.

The starting right-handed pitcher has consistently posted strong numbers from the beginning of his career when he started in Tampa with the Gulf Coast League Yankees. Noesi's compiled minor league numbers thus far are; a 3.14 ERA, 195 strikeouts in 192.2 innings pitched.

Hector Noesi had his most complete season in 2009. He started with the Class A affiliate, Charleston Riverdogs, before being promoted to the Single A affiliate, Tampa Yankees, where he would finish his season. Noesi combined for a 6-4 record, struck out 118 batters in 117 innings pitched. Noesi also picked up the victory for the Tampa Yankees when he pitched in game 1 of the Florida State League Championship Series, going 4.2 innings, and striking out six.

Making the 40-man roster is a huge success for Hector Noesi and the Tampa Yankees are always excited when one of their former players has a chance to make it to the show. We would like to congratulate and wish Hector Noesi the best of luck as he starts his 2010 season in the Spring.
